The Art of the Start

Start. Just…start.

For the love of your family and your future…start.

You won’t regret starting, I promise. Even if you quit, it’s still better to start than to do nothing. God loves steering people, but you have to get moving.

The Art of the Start

You can either move mountains or make excuses. Your choice. Just don’t say things like…

  • “But I’m not sure what to do.”
  • “What if I screw up?”
  • “What if I fail?”

Are you sure it’s failure you’re afraid of? Perhaps you’re afraid that if you jump off the cliff you’ll actually fly, and then people will expect you to fly everyday, and God-forbid that happen right? Because then you may be exposed for who you really are…

Or will you?

You’re afraid people will see the real you if you step out there. But what you don’t realize is that they will see the real you, but in the process of stepping out and calling up some courage you changed. And the You you’ve become is someone they desperately need to see.

So what are you waiting for?

For me it was always “next Monday.” Didn’t matter if it was Tuesday morning, I would start my new exercise program, goals, whatever, on Monday. That was my excuse, what’s yours? Identify it…then kill it. Don’t ever let it hold you back again.

Most of this post is nonsense, just pretty words to fill up the page. You know all this stuff already right? So it all comes down to one word.

Repeat after me…
